THE MARTIAL ART OF AWARENESS
INSTRUCTOR Kaiwe Goo

Kaiwe attended her first ILC workshop in 2006 with Grandmaster Sam F. S. Chin, gate keeper and lineage holder of the I Liq Chuan® system. She has continued training ever since with 2nd generation Lineage Disciple, Sifu Bernard Langan of In Motion Center in Oakland, CA. Through following the ILC curriculum and attending workshops with high level I Liq Chuan practitioners, Kaiwe has reached Student Level 5 and Instructor Level 1. Her goal is to share this internal martial art in a supportive, non-competitive class environment. Private lessons are available.
Kaiwe also trains in other martial arts, including Tai Chi, Pentjak Silat Serak (TM), and Visayan Style Eskrima, as well as in workshops with Laoshi Luo De Xiu of Taipei, Taiwan. Before martial arts, she studied dance (jazz, modern, ballet), and enjoyed Western horseback riding.
She continues working over 30 years as a physical therapist, which gives her a keen eye for movement. She completed a Feldenkrais Method (R) training (1993) directed by Frank Wildman, GCFT, Ph.D., of the Movement Studies Institute, and a Pilates Instructor Training (2003) directed by Nora St. John and Naomi Leiserson of Turning Point Studios.
